SocBiN (Society for Bioinformatics in Northern Europe) is a non-profit organization for people working with and interested in bioinformatics and computational biology. The members of the organization are predominantly from the Nordic and Baltic countries, but others are also welcome. The 11th SocBiN Conference will be held in Helsinki, Finland, on May 10-12, 2011.

The three-day program includes six sessions on cutting edge research in bioinformatics, presented by distinguished scientists, and a poster session.

The conference site is Biomedicum Helsinki 1, a top medical research and training facility located on the Meilahti campus of the University of Helsinki, near the city center.

Early registration has been extended untill May 1, 2011. Posters will also be accepted until May 1st, however, the oral presenters will be selected from the abstracts submitted by April 15th and the decisions will be announced on April 26th. Registration is possible even on site, but higher rates will apply after May 1st. For more information, see the registration and poster submission page.
