Welcome to group Otonkoski's webpages!
We are interested in human pluripotent stem cells, both human embryonic stem cells (hESC) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS). They are used primarily for the modelling of diseases affecting endodermal organs, such as liver, pancreas and intestine. Diabetes is our special area of interest. We also operate a Core Facility service, the Biomedicum Stem Cell Centre (BSCC) which provides human pluripotent stem cell services. For more details of our research or the core facility services, please follow the links on top.
