Automatic domain analysis
Most DNA analysis programs analyse the primary sequence for restriction sites and primer annealing sites. To facilitate analysis of new DNA sequences, PlasmaDNA also looks for common plasmid domains such as resistance genes, origin of replications, promoters, etc.
PlasmaDNA comes with a pre-built library of roughly 100 such domains. You have a specific region that is not recognized by the program? Just add it to the database - it is simple and quick to do, and you only have to do it once!
